Where does the money I raise go?

The first $20 raised (required to unlock the upload video feature) is dispurse:
  • $9.50 to your club
  • $9.50 to Capital Football
  • $1 to Australian Sports Foundation

Any further fundraising is split:
  • 75% to your club
  • 10% to Capital Football
  • 10% to state member federation/associations
  • 5% to Australian Sports Foundation

What will my club do with the money raised?

Each club can choose how to use the funds raised. The most common uses could be football clinics, registration fees for disadvantaged kids, all-abilities football, coaching clinics, and football infrastructure. 

If you want more specifics for your club it is best to speak to them directly.

Why does Capital Football get a percentage of the money from all clubs?

FISCA was created and is maintained by Capital Football, attracting overhead costs. The funds raised will be used by Capital football to cover state registration fees, Indigenous outcomes and inclusion programs. 

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. Through the partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

How do I fundraise?

Once your videos have been connected to your fundraising page you can share this page through your social media, email, or share the link via text messages requesting donations. 

Don't be afraid to ask people to donate! It's the number one reason donations are made. If you don't ask, they may not donate!

How do I upload my skill challenge video?

Record your skill video and upload them to your Facebook, YouTube, or TikTok account. 

Next, log into your fundraising page and find the Upload A Video section and you can share the link to the video from your social media page. In this section you also select the skill that aligns with your video.

Getting Started

I want to fundraise for my football club. How do I get started?

Start by click on the Get Started button on the top of the page and register to start your fundraiing page.

I’ve donated but can’t see how to allocate my votes.

After voting the votes you have to allocate will show up on the page and you click the video where you'd like to assign your votes.

Do I have to vote once I donate?

The voting isn't mandatory. You can mkae the donation and leave the fundraising page.

Why can’t I vote for another person’s video after I’ve donated?

You are only able to vote for the person you have doanated to. An option exisits to donate to a club and from there you are able to vote for any fundraiser in the club.

Registration

Do I have to select a club to fundraise for?

The registration process requires you to select a club, however you can choose 'not listed'.

If you don't select a club 95% of the money raised will go to Capital Football.

What do I put in the 'Team' section during registration?

This is up to you and your club. You can use the name of the team you play for at your club. Check with other teammates that may have signed up and created your team already.

You can also skip this section and not join a team. 

Do I have to make a personal donation before I can fundraise?

It is not mandatory to make a donation to your own page. However, it is strongly encouraged to kick off the fundraising.

A $20 donation is required to open the fundraising page to upload videos. This can be done quickly with the personal donation during the registration process.

How long does the compeition go for?

The 2023 FISCA Football Challenge commences on 1 July and concludes on 30 August 2023.

What is FISCA?

Football Individual Skills Competition Australia (FISCA) is an initiative created to help football clubs raise money through peer-to-peer fundraising.

FISCA was created by a parntership with Captial Football and the Australian Sports Foundation. 


What is peer-to-peer fundraising?

Peer-to-peer fundraising is a fundraising strategy in which individual supporters host personal campaigns to collect donations from their friends, family, and colleagues on an organization’s behalf.

This approach can help an organization organically expand its reach to new, previously unexplored networks of supporters.

Troubleshooting

I can't find where to upload videos.

A mandatory $20 donation is required to open the upload function on your fundraising page. 

If you haven't raised the $20 yet, you can make a personal donation to get started and oepn the upload function.
